Rowell), Jane (Mrs. William H. Miller), Prances. Connected with Detroit Free Press, 1861-66; city editor Detroit Post and its successor, the Post Tribune, 1866-81; secretary Board of Education, Detroit, 1881-85; city librarian, , since librarian emeritus. Republican. Presbyterian. President American Library Association, 1895; auditor Young Women's Home for thirty years member Detroit Association of Charities, Alpha Delta Phi (University of Michigan).
